Zeladi Books creates Islamic children’s stories for Muslim families. Our purpose is to help young Muslims find inspiration through the strength, courage, beauty and remarkable people of our shared Islamic history.
Children are constantly exposed to inappropriate stories and role models through the mainstream media, and we want Muslim children to know that their own heritage is rich with real people they can learn and take inspiration from.
Stories that connect faith and identity
We aim to make Muslim history engaging and accessible, with language and detail suited to a child’s age. Through these stories, we hope to encourage a stronger connection to Islam, thoughtful questions and pride in a heritage worth knowing.
Care in the telling
Great care goes into the information we include. We provide references for parents who want to fact-check or learn more, and our illustrations follow Islamic guidelines. Read about our approach to storytelling.
